Laws, revenue, 1897-1940 [state publication].

This series consists of revenue codes, slip laws, individually published acts, bills, proposed bills, and amendments. Subjects covered individually are motor vehicle laws and taxes, the creation of the State Tax Commission and the County Boards of Equalization, license or privilege taxes, dog registration, tobacco taxes, gasoline and lubricating oil taxes, store licenses, income tax, and property taxes. Harry Simon's Compilation of Alabama Revenue Laws, published by the Laws Research Bureau in Montgomery, 1936, is also included. The Codes compile all revenue laws in force at the time and are from the Code of Alabama. Revenue laws from 1845 to 1915 may also be found under the State Auditor.
